Columbia Joins AASHE and You Can, Too
Date: July 20, 2006

In July 2006, Columbia joined the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), a membership-based consortium of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the United States and Canada.

Now partnered with AASHE, members of the Columbia community will have access to academic, governmental, and business-related resources to assist in campus sustainability efforts. Available on AASHE's website are a policy bank, a campus sustainability professionals page, syllabi from various environment-related courses, lists of interest groups, publications, classroom resources, e-mail discussion groups focusing on sustainability in higher education, and useful links for virtually every aspect of campus operations.

AASHE's unique resources are available to students, faculty, and staff alike. Simply use your Columbia University e-mail address to create a free account. Visit their website, www.aashe.org, for more information.
